What We Offer

Gamers’ Haunt is now hosting its popular summer day camp for Magic: The Gathering! Magic is a trading card game that helps players develop close reading, logical thinking, social, and math skills. Whether your camper is just learning the game or is a long-time player, there is a camp for them. Each camp will include all of the Magic: the Gathering things that will be needed from cards, decks, to playmats, and a summer Gamers’ Haunt t-shirt! We will also spend time walking to parks, playing four square and other games!

Each week-long camp is designed for kids aged 8-17, depending on their level of experience. The cost is $350 per week, but a $50 discount is applied when registering siblings or for multiple weeks. Please contact Gamers’ Haunt at gamershaunt@gmail.com for information on scholarship availability. Registration fee is due by July 1st, via e-mailed invoice or in store.

Mighty Commanders! (for the less experienced)
July 15-July 19 ages 8-13

This camp is for players aged 8-13, all experience levels are welcome! We’ll spend the week focusing on the popular Commander format. We will begin the week drafting and building custom Commander decks. This week will include preconstructed Commander decks, playmats, deck boxes, and sleeves, as well as prize support for games. All of the things a new Magic player or one who just wants more time to play and learn will need! In the afternoons we will walk to the park for some outdoor sunshine as well

Tournament Bound (for the advanced student)
July 29- Aug 2nd ages 14-17 years old

We are so excited for our Advanced camp! It is for players aged 14-17 who play organized events on a regular basis. Magic is famously one of the most complex strategy games ever created. There are over 20,000 cards created for it and 3 levels of judges used to understand this incredible game. This week delves into these complex ideas to help develop critical thinking and advanced moves in magic. We will talk with people who have made a living playing competitively, being content creators, and even gone on to help design Magic: the Gathering sets for Wizards of the Coast. This camp will include staff crafted Magic decks, store credit for campers to add to their collection, packs for a draft, prize packs, and it will include an entry in the Prerelease for Bloom Burrow (August 2 at 2pm the last Friday of camp).

Next Level Commander (for the intermediate player)
August 19 – August 23 ages 10-14

This week is open to players aged 10-14 who have a firm grasp on the basic rules of the game and how to build a deck. It will focus primarily on the Commander and Pauper formats. Campers will learn how to build a 100 card Commander deck and have the chance to try out older formats. In this week, every camper will get to build a new Commander deck as well as draft the a Commander set to help build their collection. We will deep the understanding of the game and explore new formats as well!

June 24th – 28th, 2024
