We now have our Magic schedule, here, up for the rest of the year (this is subject to change and new events may be added). We have also made some tournament entry changes and come up with some new events.
First: We will now be differentiating between “store credit” and “tournament winnings”.
“Store credit” can be used for anything, including entry fees (store credit for entry fees will be calculated as a cash price).
“Tournament winnings” can be used for anything EXCEPT tournament entry fees.
Second: There are two new events we will be running weekly
“$5 for 25″.
These tournaments are $5 entry, 8 participant, 3 round, single elimination Standard constructed events. The winner gets $25 tournament winnings and each player gets a pack for participating.
“5 for a Fatpack”.
These tournaments are $5 entry, 8 participant, 3 round, single elimination Standard constructed events. The winner receives a Fatpack and 2nd-4th receive promo cards.
Third: Draft changes.
Our Sunday draft has been changed from $10 entry to $12 entry. Also the payout for our $15 drafts has been increased.
Gamers Haunt will be hosting our first Vintage Tournament!

* When: Saturday, November 12. We will be open at 12 and the tournament will start at 1.
* Where: Gamers Haunt, 133 Weaver Blvd, Weaverville NC 28787. Phone: 828 658 4100.
* What: Vintage Constructed Unsanctioned, fifteen (15) proxy limit (see below). Number of rounds of Swiss determined by entries, over 16 players cut to top eight. Deck lists required.
* Entry: $25, cash or credit card.
* Pre-Enroll: $20, cash, credit card or Paypal. Pre-Enroll entry must be paid by Nov 5th. Non refundable (be sure you are going to make it!)
* Prizes: Time Vault & more! (see below). Ton of random prizes throughout the day!

Proxy rules are as follows (for those of you familiar with Sci-Fi Genre Comics & Games Vintage tournaments, proxy rules are the same):
* Up to fifteen (15) proxies per deck, no more.
* It is the judges’ discretion as to whether or not any given proxy is allowed; if you have any concern, we will have a “proxy check” table set up before the event, and they’ll have a bunch of basic land and Sharpies in the event that some or all of your proxies don’t meet their approval.
* It should be immediately clear to your opponent and any passersby what any proxied card is supposed to be.
* No substitution lists (“Every Counterspell in my deck is supposed to be Mana Drain.”)
* No slips of paper in sleeves, even if glued to the card — they can affect the thickness and rigidity, which affects randomization.
* No Collectors’ Edition, even if you’ve trimmed down the corners.
* Acetone is cheap and easy to use to erase cards, with some masking tape, Q-Tips, cotton balls, and ventilation.
* Try to use cards with as many attributes — type, mana cost, etc. — that match the card you’re proxying as possible.
* You may also use a fine-point Sharpie to write on the back of a card, so long as the sleeves you are using are completely opaque, and you write clearly. These proxies and your sleeves should definitely be checked by the Head Judge before shuffling up. Please don’t just write the card name on the front of a card — it can be too easy for your opponent across the table to mistake your Mox Ruby for the Mountain on which you’ve written. Also, the more information you include, the better; at the very least, you’ll want name (of course), mana cost, types/subtypes, and power/toughness if it’s a creature.
Innistrad Prerelease changes.

The midnight prerelease draft has been cancelled.
We just learned that no one will be able to host side drafts for prereleases any more. This is a WOTC policy change. With that in mind we are changing our earlier posted prerelease tournament times.
Please note that our early start times are 1:00 instead of our normal 2:00.
Sat, Sept 24 @ 1. $25 Sealed deck.
